What We’re Looking For

We’re on the hunt for a talented Cloud Accountant / Team Leader to join our dynamic company. As a professional bookkeeping firm, you will bring accounting expertise, technological savvy, and a relationship-building approach to this role. You’ll continuously learn new technologies, train staff, and collaborate with clients to enhance their small businesses and non-profit organizations. Plus, you’ll have a hand in shaping our young and growing company.

Responsibilities

• Customer Ownership: Be the first point of contact for our valued clients.
• Tech Guru: Recommend and implement cutting-edge technology stacks for customers.
• Bookkeeping Pro: Handle full-cycle bookkeeping for clients and review staff work.
• Onboarding Expert: Onboard new customers and assist with catch-up bookkeeping.
• Compliance Hero: Meet tax filing deadlines (GST, PST, T4A, T5018, etc.).
• Business Advisor: Provide small business advisory services.
• Financial Reporting Whiz: Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues, create workflows, and train new staff.
• Year-End Prep: Prepare files for year-end accounting and income tax filings.
• Analytical Insights: Craft custom management reports for diverse clientele.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of progressive Canadian full-cycle accounting experience.
• Familiarity with Canadian small business owners and entrepreneurs.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, troubleshooting technical issues, and cloud integrations.
• Comfort with tools like Dext, Fathom, Payworks, Karbon, Plooto, Google Workspace, Shopify, PayPal, etc.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with CRA Represent a Client and resolving reviews/requests.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and meet deadlines.
• Accounting-related degree preferred.
